The Story

Life is nothing more than a Story. Your story. The beginning has been written, the middle is playing out now, but nobody knows the ending.

Life isn’t just a short picture book. It’s a long novel with many complicated plot points. Some of those points are happy, some sad, and others that leave you angry. What matters is how you continue writing your story.

You see, in life every story has an ending. As each chapter comes to a close, another begins. So those endings turn into new beginnings. Just because you’ve had a bad chapter or two doesn’t mean that the ending of your story can’t be happily ever after.

I Love to read and I love to write, obviously, one thing I’ve noticed with all great novels is that there is always something that happens. It’s not always good. There are times when you’re let angry, you cry, you fall in love, that love dies, but with each ending, you get that new beginning.

What that beginning is, is up to you. Just because someone tells you it should be one way doesn’t mean you can’t try something different.

I was unhappy with where I was in life not to long ago. I felt stuck. I want successful, I felt like a failure to my family, and I suck into depression. I gained so much weight and hated everything. Then that chapter in life ended.

I didn’t let the next just pick up there. With support from my husband I took control. I lost weight. (I’m still losing weight.) I quit that job that made me miserable. And I went back to school. I’ll be graduating with my bachelor’s degree in 8 1/2 months. I didn’t think I would ever get to this point.

But my chapter isn’t over. Every chapter has a bump in the road. Mine is one that I haven’t told many people about yet. It’s something that I’m not up for sharing just yet. It’s something that my family and I will overcome. That will be a chapter that tests us.

But like all parts of a book, it will end. As well yours. The difference between you and the person next to you is what will you do at the end of your chapter?

Are you going to pick up where you left off? Were you happy with that chapter? Or do you need that new beginning? Something as simple as becoming more active to release anger? Or perhaps a job change? A move to a new city or even going back to school?

Nothing is impossible.

You are writing the story of your life. Take over at that keyboard and write it how you want it. If you have problems going on, fix them. It won’t always be easy. Sometimes it’ll feel like the hardest thing ever. But you can do it.

Remember though, every story has an ending, but that ending can be a new beginning. So write your life how you want.
