Beauty blenders are the most popular way to apply foundation or blend in concealer but are they worth the hype they get?

These pocket sized applicators range between £1 and £16 and come in different shapes and sizes each doing different jobs, the two most well known brands being real techniques and beauty blender.

The purpose of a beauty blender is to apply foundation on the smooth side and blend concealer with the pointy edge, the new silicone sponge can be used to apply liquid blush and cantor cream.

Although the blenders are easy to use most beauty blenders absorb the product the silicone sponge being the only exception, some cases the sponge will leave a blotchy effect.

In my honest opinion the beauty blender is worth all the hype it gets as it can give a better finish than a foundation brush can give.
