Dorothy Stratten was a Playboy Playmate and actress who was tragically murdered by her estranged husband.  Before ending her life, and his, he did make one contribution to pop culture, but not enough to make up for the heinous acts he would later commit.  Looking for a way to make money Paul Snider (Stratten's husband) tried to convince club owner Steve Banarjee to let him promote a male stripper show at his failing disco.  Banarjee ended up putting on the show himself.  Banarjee's club, by the way, was named Chippendales.
