Mötley Crüe Postpones The Stadium Tour to Summer 2022

Mötley Crüe has been the last band to postpone their Tour because of the pandemic. The stadium tour they were going to go on with Poison, Joan Jett and Def Leppard is unfortunately delayed to the Summer of 2022. They were originally planning to perform in the Summer of 2020, even though most bands had to delay to 2021. At least it seems like they are going to give us a great tour, as Mötley Crüe indicates in their recent Instagram post. While announcing the new tour dates, the band said the tour was going to be “one for the history books.”

Mötley Crüe stadium tour postponed to 2022

The band announced the news on Instagram with a post that issued a statement and showed us the new tour dates. Here are the official announcement and 2022 stadium tour dates of Mötley Crüe:

“To all our loyal fans, we wanted to let you know that we learned today that the tour is getting moved to 2022. This is the only way to ensure that we can play ALL of the dates for ALL of you who have purchased tickets. We appreciate you hanging in there and can’t wait to get back on stage and bring The Stadium Tour to all of our fans.
It is going to be one for the history books!”

Last year, Joan Jett commented that she would not feel comfortable asking her band to perform during the pandemic.

“I would not feel comfortable, I just wouldn’t, I wouldn’t feel comfortable putting the band or my crew in that position,” she said. Jett also added she did not “really have that right to mess with their lives like that.”

Let’s hope they will not have to delay the tour again to 2023 when the time comes.

Previously delayed tours

Mötley Crüe’s stadium tour is not the only tour that’s been delayed because of the pandemic. We previously saw Iron Maiden postpone their European Legacy of the Beast Tour to 2022. Their tour was originally planned to take place in 2020 as well. Rammstein is yet another example from the bands that had to delay their tour twice. Their stadium tour was first delayed to 2021, and then to 2022. Rammstein fortunately added four more shows to their tour recently, though. Those shows are going to take place in Prague, Klagenfurt, Nijmegen, and Ostend. They are going to start selling tickets for those on May 19th. Keep that in mind if you’re interested.
