I don’t get a lot of people asking about making Money with a blog, most want to learn about CPA marketing as they think it is cheap and easy.

The other day I got an email that moved me though, it went something like this:

“Vladi, your blog is amazing, I don’t read a lot of blogs as most of them kinda republish all the same content, only with different words, but yours is a total refreshment.”

or as another guy had told me before:

“I did enjoy reading your stuff though. At least it’s not some boring shit like everyone else is shoveling.”

That made me want to tell you how you can build a blog like mine and make all kinds of money.

I’ve made money in many ways, you know, I had a fast food chain, I sold sandwiches out of my backpack at 13, I now also run a currency exchange business (everything is in my book), and yet this blog has got to be one of the best assets I’ve ever had.

Why?

1 It becomes more powerful as it ages

2 It helps millions of people

3 It’s an asset for life

4 It’s fun

and a million other reasons.

Here’s how to create a powerful blog that gets 100,000 visitors a month.

1 Move to HTTPS

I had no idea switching protocols was that powerful. I just switched about a month ago and my blog has moved up in search for almost anything.

I knew Google liked secure blogs more, but had no idea it was that much more.

I’m telling you, using HTTPS alone could help you outrank people who build thousands of links, as technology is at a point backlinks are not all that matters.

2 Multiple streams of income

When I started this blog I only collected leads and did not want to think about anything else. Then a few years ago a company contacted me and asked to add a link to one of my first page of Google articles.

I said I did not offer such services and then they said:

“we’ll pay $1,000 for it”

I though it was a joke and almost deleted the message. I couldn’t believe they’d pay hat much for one link and a few words about them.

5 years later I get why they did it, I’ve sent them over 600 registered promoters who probably made that money in one day.

$1,000 a minute, cause that’s how long it took to add the link.

How’s that sound?

Pretty cool, I know.

I don’t get carried away though, as I don’t want to turn the blog into a mess… Google doesn’t like sites that link out all the time.

People have also offered money to write promo articles, but I don’t like them and haven’t written any.

I’ve also been asked to speak at events, write for other blogs, help people with their copy and stuff like that… I’ve rejected most of it, as I have no time, but these activities pay a lot.

3 Traffic

To get people to offer you money for all of the above mentioned, you need to have traffic.

How to get 100,000 people a month.

I’ll tell you how I’ve done it – publishing badass articles.

That’s it.

I build no links, I don’t guest post, I don’t have people promoting me on their blogs, neither do I do any of the regular promo stuff other bloggers do.

I only write, but I publish information that makes a difference… stuff people charge for, and I also do it to connect, I write as I talk to my friends, cause you are my friend.

Google notices that and pushes my articles high in search, that’s what they do – deliver information that matters.

And not just Google, sites like The Huffington Post too, they link to me and that brings boat loads of traffic.

It took me years though, you can choose the faster option to buy a blog like mine if you don’t have the time but have money.

4 Design

You can’t afford ugly, you just can’t.

Take a look at my blog – simple, clean, a few optin forms at the right places, a little bit of social proof in the footer, a simple sidebar and super fast loading speed.

It doesn’t get much better than that.

I’m telling you this, because people think a packed menu, or a full sidebar make the blog more serious or whatever.

5 Image Library

I haven’t seen a lot of people do that, maybe they don’t have time to shoot images like me, but you can create an image library and sell those images.

There are billions of blogs and they all need images.

All you need is a camera and a few hours a day to shoot the images, then post them on your site with a watermark (or anything like that to prevent stealing) and sell them.

If you don’t have time to shoot the images, you can find some online to resell… and If you don’t want to sell them, you can always, for example, ask for links in exchange for them or anything of value.

6 Collect leads

That’s my number one method, but I saved it for last cause it’s not the only one.
