I'm Emediong Emily Uko. I'm 16 years and clearly in love with the arts.
My journey with art started as far back as my primary school. Sometimes it was a product of my interest in recreating what I'd seen elsewhere and other times it came to me as a way of producing what I had created in my head. I'd make my own illustrated story books on my teachers sticky notes and I'd draw on most white papers in sight. I was also challenged by my much older cousin to be a better artist than she was- i willingly took up the challenge. I wasn't perfect at the time obviously, but after much failed attempts I became today's artist.
After science, art had always been my alternative passion. And till date, I have to give thanks to God for blessing me with this skill because art is my emotional and spiritual run-to. I feel so blessed knowing the fact that I can channel whatever I'm thinking productively on white canvas.
To me, art has a way of exposing itself- one way or the other. It self advertises its beauty- be it through the latest fashion trend or a simple exhibition. Art always finds its way to appreciation, which is what intruiges me so much about it...

Currently, I've not exactly had much time to make more artworks because of the school workload. However, I intend to go even further with my art when I'm done: i.e. exhibitions, sales, online sales etc.
