Last night, Senator Ben Murray Bruce held his 60th birthday party at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. At the event, top Nigerian pop stars like 2face idibia, Timaya, Dr Sid, D’banj and others all performed.

During D’banj’s performance, Bruce went on stage and requested that the former Mo’hits Records co-owners, D’banj and Don Jazzy, make a song together as a birthday present for him.

Responding to Bruce’s ‘please do this for me, it is my birthday request’, D’banj revealed that he is ready to work with the Mavin boss whenever he is ready.

‘I have given serious consideration to this. Before I came on stage, I went to Don Jazzy and asked him to join me on stage. If he gives me a beat today, the song will be ready the next day’, D’banj said.

Afterwards, D’banj performed alone and fans have taken this to be a snub by Don Jazzy, hence the reason why the Mavin boss is trending on social media.

Don Jazzy has however come out on Twitter to explain the reason why he didn’t perform with anyone on stage last night including D’banj.
