China’s latest booming Smartphone brand Huawei has high hopes in replacing Korean smartphone maker Samsung in the second place as a global brand to be recognized in the smartphone industry, right behind American company Apple, a representative from Huawei has stated.

In a report by the head of the consumer division of Huawei Richard Yu, he stated that the company has shipped more than 95 million units worldwide in the first half of 2018, boosting 35 percent in their total sales.

“It’s no question that we become the number two next year. In Q4 next year it’s possible we become number one”, Yu exclaimed during a stay Shenzen, the company’s main address and the country’s busiest electronic district.

Reports from the International Data Corporation had stated that Huawei had already sold 54.2 million phones for a 15.8 percent market share.

IDC said 342 million cell phones were dispatched amid the second quarter, down 1.8 percent from a similar time of 2017 and the third back to back quarter of year-over-year delays.

Considered a global smartphone brand, Huawei has been barred from selling its smartphone units in alleged connections to the Chinese government and a possible spying scenario. A report from Reuters states that Huawei and its other competitor brand ZTE are barred by orders from Pentagon, USA’s main defense office.

Meanwhile, Samsung has sold 71.5 million handsets for a 20.9 percent market share, including their current flagship note, the Samsung Galaxy S9. The Korean phone maker has yet to comment on the challenges given by the Chinese smartphone brand.

In April 2011, Huawei reported an income increment of 30% out of 2010, driven by huge development in abroad markets, with net benefit ascending to RMB23.76 billion (US$3.64 billion; £2.23 billion) from RMB18.27 billion of every 2009. In 2010 deals outside China kept on being the primary driver of Huawei’s business. Abroad income rose 34% to RMB120.41 billion of every 2010 from RMB90.02 billion out of 2009, energized by districts including North America and Russia. Incomes from China rose 9.7% to RMB64.77 billion, as the nation’s enormous telecom administrators lessened their venture a year ago.
