According to the United States-based company, the suspended accounts are directly to Islamic State group, ISIS. The suspension has been done since mid-2015.

The company confirmed that they condemn the use of Twitter in promoting terrorism and that the number of report reviewing teams has been increased for faster reaction.

Around the world, twitter has above five hundred million users.

The company said that they have already seen results, an increase in account suspensions included and that this form of activity shifting off of twitter.

In additional statement, the company confirmed that the law enforcement body were        co-operating with them.

Social Media Companies have been urged by the governments around the world, the U.S included taking more robust measures in tackling online activities that are aimed to promote violence.

About 46,000 accounts were used in posting extremist materials and this number has increased just over a year. This is the estimation according to a study towards the tail-end of 2014.
