Unfortunately, long-term planning organizations that do a lot more emphasis on the extrapolation of the past. Managers review their results from five or four years before and projecting the same pattern for the next four years or rhyme, by making adjustments to the changes they know will happen in the future.
In ever-changing environment at this time, such practices led to the neglect of organizational means. proverb says, the only thing that will not change is change itself. Some change is inevitable, while some changes other is result of our own creative efforts. effective Planning Process must be addressed proactively to anticipate them.
The premise put forward in the first article of this series, guidelines for strategic thinking, can be quoted here: that the planning process is on along the line between analytical and intuitive thinking, as shown in Figure, This is the premise that led me to discuss the planning process is divided into three books .
The first component, strategic thinking, so to is based on intuition, with little analysis. long-term planning, a balance between analytical with intuitive thinking. Tactical planning, mainly based on the analysis, by intuition only serves as a checker and balancer.
In my first article also introduced the "three P" of the planning process : perspective, position, and performance. Each of the three main components of the planning process has nothing to do with tig p as follows :
Strategic thinking leads to the perspective
Long-term planning leads to a position
Tactical planning lead to performance (performance)
Although all three kompenen are overlapping, each requiring a different level of thinking of managers who participated in the process. The specific components and elements shown in Figure 1.2. Note that each of the two components of the first through the next component, directs the planning process on effective implementation.
