From Bushcraft to Driving – there’s a whole new look to Specialist camps at PGL this summer!

Filling the six weeks of the summer holidays can see like a mammoth task, but with the range of new specialist Kids’ Camps from PGL, by September they could have learned the fundamentals of driving, be a dab hand at Streetdance, or be a master of whittling and outdoor cooking!

With over 65 years of providing adventure camps for young people, leading outdoor education specialist PGL is adding even more to its range of specialist camps with four new camps this summer.

Bushcraft Camp

With six half day workshops combined with the best Multi-Activities on offer, this new camp is perfect for nature enthusiasts aged 8-13 years. Based at PGL’s Liddington centre in Wiltshire, children will learn how to identify plants and trees, build shelters, fire lighting techniques and whittling and outdoor cooking.

Mad Science Camp

Calling all budding scientists, especially those who love to experiment, as the new Mad Science Camp is the perfect place to be this summer. Available at three centres – Marchants Hill, Liddington and Osmington Bay, over the course of the camp, children will discover static electricity and circuits, develop the perfect recipe for slime and even build and code their own HEXBot. The science fun is blended with multi-activity adventure too so they will have fun packed days from morning to night!

Learner Driver Camp

For ages 13 upwards, car lovers and those itching to get behind a wheel will love PGL’s new Learner Driver Camp.

Whilst they won’t be able to take their test at PGL, with five half day driving sessions they will have built a huge amount of knowledge and skills before they can officially take to the road. From starting and stopping smoothly to using the clutch, steering through a slalom course, three-point turns, reversing and parking as well many other skills. All practised safely with support from our partner Learner Driver Camps  on private land and in dual control cars.

Dance Camps

For any budding dancers this is the perfect summer camp. Hosted at PGL’s Liddington and Boreatton Park centres, from Hip Hop to Afro Beats there will be a huge array of different fun dance styles to learn and perfect.

And not only that, they can bring their new skills to life performing in a dance battle with judging by a special guest social media famous dancer. Next stop Britain’s Got Talent! Again combined with a range of PGL’s fantastic multi-activities the fun and adventure never stops.

In addition to the new camps and its popular Multi-Activity Camps, PGL will also be returning a range of specialist camps in 2024 including Pony Camps, Watersports Camps, Netball Camps, Theme Park Camps and Cooking and Baking Camps. Certainly something for every child and every taste, and plenty to keep them occupied throughout the summer.

And don’t forget parents can use childcare vouchers to help pay towards the cost of any PGL camp at an English centre, just call 0333 321 2114 for more details.
