September was my best ever month! I traded only the opening of the ASX gap trades, with 20 trades in all, and they were all successful. I have found this gap trade works very well – sometimes within the day and sometimes it takes a few days…but a very high probability that the ‘gaps’ will be closed and trades are successful. I love this strategy and I feel like I have finally found an edge!

I’ve been using digitals in conjunction with gap trading to hedge positions and target gaps once I get 3:1 risk-reward otherwise I’ve been sticking to a trade plan of trading for ex gaps and key market reversals.

What is helping me is having 2 accounts one for discretionary and one for high probability trades although I’m still making mistakes with discipline and trying to learn to leave a small runner each day I’m using the digitals to force me to hold positions to the close or target.

I’m up for next month with a double ex gap and decent expiry so hopefully, I’ll have a better laid-out statement or if you have suggestions let me know thanks.

Another good profitable month that recovers all of the losses made in previous months and then some. Looking forward to more profitable months ahead as I stick to the plan. It’s always tempting to trade what someone else is trading, but it pays to stick with what you know and trust. Dealing with that fear of missing out is what makes the difference between success and failure.
