Traders trying to buy the lows today are in my view trying to catch a falling knife and are likely going to be cut to pieces as volatility reigns supreme. It is very enticing to try and buy the lows in a rapidly falling market and whilst Warren Buffett says we should be buying when everyone else is selling I don’t believe his theory is supposed to be applied after a one-day sell off like we have seen. My view is we could be about to see a much broader sell-off over coming months as history does show US summer months have a tendency to see stock markets fall rather than rise.

Patience is the key in times like this and a trigger-happy trader trying to buy the lows will likely be savaged emotionally and financially. Remember that you need to be clear, calm and decisive with your trading decisions and in times like this trader do make mistakes by trying to chase the market and get very emotional.
