The Hilb Group (THG) has announced the acquisition of Massachusetts-based Handy-Apple Valley (HAV). The transaction was effective July 01.

HAV, located in Worcester, MA provides personal and commercial insurance products. HAV will join THG’s existing New England operation and continue to operate from its existing location.

The acquisition is the latest in THG’s ongoing expansion. On Tuesday, the company announced the acquisition of Rhode Island-based Damiano Agency. Earlier this month, the company announced the acquisition of Pennsylvania-based Greenwald Berk Agency and Vermont-based Jamieson Insurance Agency. In June, the company announced the acquisition of Delaware-headquartered Pfister Insurance.
