Toxic Work Environment Results

According to the author of One Big Thing, Phil Cooke, “culture is more important than vision. Some leaders have great vision, but have created a Toxic culture where that vision will never happen.”

If you’re working in a toxic Environment, you have probably noticed these signs:

-You get disrespected and belittled.
-You have undergone pressure over the wrong reasons to get short terms results as part of long term strategies.
-There is inequality, favoritism, injustice, and unfair situations.
-People get harassed and bullied.
-People are deprived of empathy, support, and appreciation.
-Micromanagement happens among staff.
-Work environments have questionable morals.
-Integrity is lacking.
-There’s a lack of transparency, and dishonesty is being encouraged.

Toxic environments crush grand visions and great strategies. No matter how exceptional and effective the strategy and goals, it will not be executed, and will still fail in toxic environments.

True great leaders ascertain and mend toxic cultures.

The best leaders empower others, involve people, listen, and consider other people’s points; they challenge staff, support, and teach their employees. Great leaders appreciate and value hard work, honesty, dedication, commitment, integrity, and job well done.

Just like Peter Drucker said, “culture eats strategy for breakfast.”
