I will try to explain you in the simplest words possible instead of telling you some idiot random definitions. Let us consider that I run a shoes store. I ask you that you have to help me in selling my shoes. For every pair you help me to sell, I will give you some share of my earnings. For e.g. If you helped me to sold a shoes pair of 40$ I will give you 5$ from it

Affiliate marketing works on the same concept. In affiliate marketing, you help various companies and stores to sell their products and services online. Famous websites like Amazon, Ebay, Flipkart etc. are running their affiliate programs. So you can simply join their programs and help them to sell their products and also you can get a good commission from their earnings too. I hope you had now got a basic idea of Affiliate marketing

How It Works?

See, As I told you in the above example that You help me to sell my shoes and I will give you a commission. But this is when we are selling offline at a physical store. Affiliate marketing is related to those mainly who are selling their goods and services online.
Let us suppose you joined affiliate program of Amazon. Now you helped Amazon to sell a sports shoes pair. Now friends after making a sale you cannot message Amazon that I helped you to sell a sports shoes pair so please give me my commission. This is because no one is going to trust you as Amazon made millions of sales daily so there is no point in trusting anyone

So t overcome this every company who is running its affiliate program has either made a special website or a special tool that helps you to generate affiliate links and helped the company to check that whether you really made the sale or not.

What are Affiliate links?

When you join a Affiliate program, you are assigned with a special tracking id {in most cases}. Affiliate links are those links which includes this special id .
So suppose that you want to sell a sports shoes pair whose link is www.sportsshoesamazonindia.com
Now if you sell this sports shoes pair from the same link you will not get a single penny as it is a normal link. So you had to convert it into a affiliate link first. Websites provide special tools that helps you to convert simple links into affiliate links. For e.g. This is a tool by Cuelinks Affiliate program. In this tool I had to just add normal link and it will convert it into an affiliate link by automatically adding my special id.

So now If I made a sale through this special link, for e.g. I post this link at Facebook and you purchase that sports shoes pair, Amazon will automatically got to know that I had made the purchase. It will also made visible in my dashboard that I made a purchase.

Hence Affiliate marketing works on the simple idea of selling goods and services to people around the world with the help of special affiliate links and getting paid. Note that when I was new in this world of bloggers, I thought it is as a completely rubbish idea as I  think that it is too difficult . But trust me guys as the time keep on passing I made a lot of money from Affiliate marketing. These are my affiliate earnings for the month of January to April 2017.


I know the amount is not so big but for those who did not know I was not active at any blogging platform from January 6 to March 25 due to some reasons and I also deleted the blogs where I had used these links.
