Business Coach Shawn Driscoll is the author of “Love-Based Business Models“, which is based on the assessment she designed that helps entrepreneurs discover the best business model for them. Shawn is truly a unique business coach and I’m thrilled to showcase her work in the Love-Based Business series. But, I’m getting a little ahead of myself, read on to learn more about Shawn.

Tell me a little bit about your business and/or your expertise?

Since 2004, I’ve been coaching entrepreneurs to get known for work that is uniquely their own, and differentiate their business.

In working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, I discovered that there are specific business strategies and models that can be matched to your strengths and style, for better results and fulfillment.

Tell me a little about your story, how did you get your start?

I started my coaching and consulting practice after the birth of my son. Corporate consulting was no longer a fit for my lifestyle, and I needed a way to blend family with career.

Early on, I discovered how difficult it was to find a business model that allowed me to do the work that I was best at, while also making good money AND a difference.

There were so many options, but no easy way of determining which was right for me.  That set me off on a path to learn as much as I could about business models, and finding the right strategies for me and my clients.

How does your work fit into the love-based philosophy?

My work is all about doing work you love, with clients who love working with you.  I work with trailblazers who are building businesses based on their own unique work. I believe that, when you love what you do and who you serve, your business will grow with much more ease. So my work fits perfectly with the love-based philosophy.  I believe that for many entrepreneurs, especially those who are building a business around their own unique skills and talents, the love-based way is the isthemost effective approach to a thriving business.

What was the most exciting part around joining the love-based business family?

I was thrilled to partner with Michele and her team on this book. They were the perfect partners for me as I am not naturally wired to be a writer.  But I knew that I really wanted to get this body of work out in the world through a book.  And given how closely our messages aligned, it seemed the perfect opportunity to share “Love-Based Business Models.”

Let’s talk about the book — what are some of the biggest takeaway readers will get from reading your book?

Readers will discover how they are personally wired as business owners and how that impacts the best business model for them.  They’ll discover strengths they didn’t realize they had, and smart strategies to use those strengths in growing their business. And they’ll be liberated from so many of the stories and expectations that are holding them back from having a thriving and fulfilling business.
