Our lives are filled with great promise. As soon as we learn to take full responsibility for our lives, we can then learn to sustain the Initiative to move it to the next level. Successful people can confirm, those who have the drive are the ones who shape the world. Those who wait to be told what to do are the ones who end up having to do what they're told.
If you desire to have a say in matters, get yourself genuinely Involved in those matters. Jump in and participate. Rather than complain about circumstances, step up and put in the effort to make them better. If you want to make the decisions, then make the effort. The only real, lasting authority is that which is earned. Rather than waiting for something better to come along, take the initiative and find a way to make something better actually happen.
One of the best ways to make your voice heard and to make your opinions known is through the actions you take. The impact of what you say is dependent on what you do. Put some substance and power behind your words with the value of your effort. Take the initiative, get involved, demonstrate your commitment with your time and energy, and people will respect what you have to say.
You don’t need permission or approval to move forward with your leadership. See a need and fill it, or find a problem and solve it. When you come across a problem, be the one to work out a solution, and to turn that problem into an opportunity. When the time is ripe for a fresh perspective, be the one to offer your opinion.
