How the Franchise Process Works

Starting your own business can be less intimidating when you Franchise. There are plenty of benefits that a business owner can take advantage of during the franchise process, and our simple model allows franchise owners to quickly begin growing a Baked Goods Franchise in communities throughout the country. With new information surfacing regarding the profitability of franchises, more and more investors are looking to start their business right away. What Great American Cookies strives to do is create a fluid step by step process that can help you open the doors to your franchise before you know it, and as smoothly as possible.

Step 1: Let’s get acquainted

Like every relationship, you have to start by getting to know a little bit about each other. Before you begin to make that first investment, we will ask you to fill out an online application that will be sent to your email. Once we have gotten to know you and think our franchise process can be a mutual fit, we will send you our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Since you have given us the courtesy of giving us some information about you, the FDD will do the same on our end. The FDD is an in-depth Financial Performance Representation that breaks down several figures you may want to know regarding our cookie franchise. This document gives context to the break down of the investment by providing numbers relative to your expenditures and potential revenue. After you have signed the Acknowledgment of Receipt of the FDD and you get all the information you need, the next steps of the franchising process begin.

Step 2: Welcome to Headquarters

Since most of the communication to this point in the process has been over the phone and with email, we want to meet you face to face. When we take in a new franchisee, we do everything to prevent you from feeling isolated in your business. This step in establishing a good relationship with our investors is all before you have  been brought on board to our Great American Cookies team in full capacity. You will receive an invitation to come to our headquarters located in Atlanta, Georgia, or we can come to your market and spend some time face-to-face discussing your goals.

Step 3: Location Security

After we are appropriately acquainted, the next step in our process is to begin seeking out potential location(s) in the markets available. With the help of our real-estate experts, you will be able to find a home for your Baked Goods franchise. We believe these aspects of our franchise process are where our franchisees find needed value in the franchise process. Not only will our real-estate team assist you with pinpointing the ideal location for your restaurant, but they will also provide consultation on the building of your store. There are certain aspects to our baked goods franchise that we have  as requirements for our facility, so that it maintains our standard for quality. Our primary goal at this stage is helping you in any way we can, to get your doors open as soon as possible for your baked goods franchise.

Step 4: After You’re Settled

Don’t worry, this step is for us! While growing the business may seem to be a time-consuming part of the process, we realize where you’ll need some of our expertise. Now that it’s time to get your business up and running, we will work together to let the customers know you’ve arrived. Although the smell of fresh baked cookies may draw their attention, Great American Cookies will help with your initial marketing support. Our team also knows there is more to getting your feet wet and into a groove. That’s why every one of our franchisees has an operations team ready to help out with their grand opening. Before you know it you will be gearing to sell those delicious cookies.

Get in touch with us and we can get you started focusing on your own baked goods franchise.
