Praying through the Pandemic – Part 7

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?
O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer,
and by night, but I find no rest.
Yet you are holy,
enthroned on the praises of Israel.
In you our fathers trusted;
they trusted, and you delivered them.” (Psalms 22: 1-5)

Eternal God, I intercede today for those who feel as though you have abandoned them in the season of this pandemic. They feel forsaken, far away from you, they groan in their agony, and cry on a daily basis without a response from you. I pray that you remind them of the things you have brought them through in the past, and that you are the same yesterday, today, and forever. May their hearts be moved to give you praise, because you inhabit the praises of your people; all you ask is that we trust you, have faith in you, and just as you delivered the children of Israel, you will surely deliver us; In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
