"The Similarities in the Epistle to the Ephesians and in 1 Peter do not disprove the Pauline authorship of Ephesians. If there is any dependence between the two writers, it is more likely that Peter borrowed from Paul than Paul had borrowed from Peter. The similarities between Ephesians, Hebrews, and the Apocalypse are only such as may be expected in writers that have a common doctrinal view-point. Basic doctrinal ideas are apt to be expressed in the same language by all of them."
