We are now moved in together with surprisingly little stuff from my ex's first marriage. We settle into a routine of Study for her Ph.D. and a study course with a local institute from which she begins to develop a clientele. Shortly after working during the week with dinner out once or twice and golf on the weekends, my ex comes to me with a request to support her in setting up an Office for her business. Which I did and co-signed the lease and paid the rent. So now I am supporting a Ph.D candidate and an office. Then she proceeds to tell me how nice it would be if we could go to Florida and stay at her parents condo once in a while. Now the airfares start to grow as I find she is making frequent trips to Florida that I sometimes go on. Now having got myself into this bind I wondered why I was supporting such an adventure. Naively I thought it would pay out in the end when my ex started making money. But instead she came to me with another grandiose idea that she should open an office in Florida as well. Oh how I wish she I had closed the gate at that time.
