Tax Cuts, Spending, and Small Government

The scope of Government should be limited so that the people can enjoy their rights of life, liberty, and property with as little interference as possible. Taxation to support such a structure is ultimately theft, but remains a necessary evil.
Despite having proven economic benefits, tax cuts will never on their own shrink the size of government. Politicians have found ways to spend without the necessary revenue. Tax cuts without Spending reductions are suicidal, since they do not finance themselves. This can incur debt and we all know who pays the debt. Ask the economists; the is the data.
I am not anti-tax cut, and I understand that money has more value in the hands of individuals and corporations than government, but they must be administered responsibly.
America is a nation with over 20 Trillion Dollars of debt, and rampant spending. This cannot continue forever. It is madness and irresponsible. Politicians on both the left and right, big government and "small government", have ballooned our spending and debt.
More spending of course, means a larger government. More money for waging pointless wars, more money to spy on you, and more money to waste. Bureaucracy shrouds bad actions, and power is being taken from the people. It is absolutely out of control and our rights are being degraded.
Truly small government can be only achieved in the United States when spending cuts are made, in conjunction with tax cuts. Spending cuts force governments to shrink. Small bills = low taxes. Currently this is not the case.
The federal budget is approximately 4 trillion dollars in total. We spend about 1 trillion dollars for healthcare, 1 trillion dollars for social security, 600 billion for defense, 300 billion to pay the debt, and 1.1 trillion on everything else. The everything else includes transportation, welfare, education, and environmental protection etc.
Politicians, you mean to tell me none of this can be cut?
If the defense budget was cut in half, we would still be safe. Our enemies still would not stand a chance. For God's sake America spends more than the next seven countries combined. We have ignored both the Founders and Eisenhower. Reforming education into a voucher system would make a more efficient system. Social Security has to be privatized, over a long period of time, into a mix of Roth IRAs and other systems. A similar path is necessary for healthcare. Billions could be saved if we released non violent drug offenders. I wonder how much NSA spying on Americans costs?
It is also important to remember that little things add up. Farmers do not need subsidies of 22 billion dollars a year. Israel certainly should not get 4 billion dollars a year. Every penny of the budget besides interest payments, is discretionary!
Democrats and Republicans need to take action. Currently, they have done nothing except exacerbate the problem. Each has their own favorite items. Democrats love social spending, and Republicans love defense spending. Both love wasting YOUR money. Neither is the party of small government.
We need government to provide certain things like the military, the courts, the justice system, environmental protection, and our roads. Despite these necessities, the budget could easily be slashed to three trillion dollars, without taking anything away from grandma. Ideally it could even be pushed even lower to two trillion. Little cuts are a start, as anything will help, but he right course must be taken as soon as possible. If we keep spending what we do not have the hole will only get deeper.
Cut the debt, cut spending, and cut taxes! Serious reductions would usher in a new era of prosperity and more importantly expand liberty for all Americans.
