Well hello again guys, how are you? And how was 2016 – Any highlights for the band?

2016 was pretty much filled with highlights. It’s going to be tough to pin point one major highlight. Dyl did get a pretty nice butterfly tattoo. Rudolph and Wes are always highlighting so they’ll chat your ear off with this question. Wes grew his hair and that was pretty exciting.

Rudolph de villiers (bass) joined the band last year, how has the vibe been since?

It was like Wes and Dyl got a puppy. We’ve all been able to take risks in our writing as well. He’s a great kid and very talented so we’re very happy with the vibes.

Good to hear! So, the band formed in late 2013, how has your sound, and the band as a whole, changed since then?

Yes, definitely. We must say it makes a lot more sense now that we have some years behind us. We’ve decided to sway away from the usual SA indie sound and take what we’ve learnt about the song writing process and make it truly WAC (WAC is Crack). We’ve matured as musicians and that’s a good feeling.

Looking at your brand new website (it looks great!), you’ve been pretty busy, what are you busy with right now?

Thank you for your kind words, Dirty Pink City. We’re busy with new material mostly but merch is on it’s way. Other than that, we’ve just been skating and hurting our shins.

At least you’re not breaking bone… So, you are part of the amazing Mieliepop Festival, what can we expect from your set?

We’ll be loud, we suppose. Also Mieliepop is one of our favourites, so we’ll probably do something special to express our love to them. Maybe get ready for some new songs to stand still to.

Anyone else on the line up you can recommend we see?

Black Math, Hellcats, Morrison Taylor… I mean it’s Mieliepop… That line up is ridiculous.

Indeed. So, tell me, who or what is Charlie?

Uncle Steve.

Whoever that is… what is your favourite thing about festivals?

Having the best time listening to even better music. Not getting judged on our level of intoxication and giggling with WAC.

Lastly, what are your plans for the rest of 2017?

We want to play a couple of shows in Cape Town and release a couple of new numbers. Wes is getting a perm… Rudolph is hitting the gym. You know, just doing us.
