Lately I’m Loving – June

We are that close to July we can almost touch it but it seems it is yet to actually feel like summer.

This month and next month I have a feeling are going to be all over the place, as at this point we are 3 weeks into the moving process and new place is still not to a point where we can think about moving in. So with that in mind, I am bit low on buys this month, as I have been trying to hold back on purchases thinking; I don’t know which address to use. However, I do have a few things I can have loved this month, which I thought I would share with you.

Bloom & Wild Flowers – From £20.

Hands up I love flowers, I think they are a great way to bring some of the outdoors, inside and they can make for a lovely way to brighten up a room as well.

I first came across Bloom & Wild a few years ago and since then the website has grown and adapted to a changing market, allowing you to subscribe to a monthly letterbox sized flower service or just buy a one off bouquet. With different arrangements being offered all the time depending on seasons and any special occasion that maybe happening.

This beautiful bouquet was to celebrate Chelsea Flower Show and lasted a good few weeks stood in my kitchen window, offering not only a beautiful array of flower but a wonderful scent as well.

Luscombe.

Summer will arrive at some point, that I am sure, the little bit of sun we have had already doesn’t make up summer *crosses fingers* and as such, I am all for finding delicious cold drinks, to enjoy when the warmer weather does arrive and that is where Luscombe come in.

Luscombe are an award winning, Devon based organic drinks company, making all manner of fruity flavours of juice and softly sparkling drinks (alongside the odd cider). I was kindly sent a couple of bottles of their apple juice and sparkling strawberry crush to try and I have to say they are absolutely delicious – in fact we had a fight over the apple juice and who got to drink the last bottle, as it has to be one of the best, we have ever tried.

As many ingredients as possible are sourced from Devon itself, however Luscombe are completely open about where everything comes from and are completely dedicated to making great tasting drinks. Luscombe’s range of drinks are available from Waitrose.

Chilly’s Bottles – From £14.99.

When it comes to the winter we all seem to grab our thermos flasks and make sure we are carrying a nice hot drink, however when it comes to the summer, short of reverting back to making a drink and freezing it overnight, there is no way to keep your drink cold all day right? Wrong! As all you need it Chilly’s, a flask made to specifically keep your drink cold for 24 hours!

Chilly’s come in a choice of three sizes (260ml, 500ml and 750ml), each of which is made from high-grade 304 stainless steel, both inside and out, has double walled vacuum insulation and the lid is made to be completely air-tight and leak proof. All the bottles are BPA-free and as well as keeping your drink cold for 24 hours, in the winter they can keep them hot for 12.

Personally I think they are a great investment for anyone who goes to school or works away from home as they offer a way to have the perfect temperature drink no matter the time of year, throughout the day. What’s more Chilly’s ship worldwide so no matter where you live, you can get your hands on a bottle or two.

Flamingo Light Bulb – £6.95.

Flamingos are most definitely in fashion this year and this has to be one of my favourite flamingo featuring products I have come across so far. This 40W bulb which is made with a E27 (screw) fitting, is just the perfect, yet quirky way to show off your love for this trend.

Once lit, this beautiful bulb sees the flamingo glowing bright pink and the palm tree behind green, which to me makes it seem like it is giving off a mix of retro / summer night’s abroad vibe. As such, can definitely see this being the talk of some rooms this summer and thanks to Prezzy Box it is so easy to get your hands on a Flamingo Light Bulb for yourself.

Vintage Carte Postale Memo Board – £19.99.

One thing I am hoping when we move, is we will be more organised, I can completely admit that things got a bit out of hand here and items have ended up in the strangest of places, or seemingly gone completely missing. That’s where this beautiful Carte Postale Memo Board from Zurley’s hopefully starts us off on the right foot.

This board is part of the Postale Accessories Range at Zurley’s, which is beautiful set to give of the vibe of vintage French postage themed items. The board itself is sent ready to hang on the wall, you just need have the hooks.

Once it is on the wall it can easily hold of your important pieces of paper, by slipping them between the prepinned string and cushioned board, allowing you to keep them safe and just where you know where they are. At the moment I am debating between hanging mine in the hall or kitchen, not sure which one would be more useful.

Gandys Bohemian Mandela Print – £22 (on sale for £18).

Who doesn’t love flip flops and not only are these ones from Gandys of London, comfortable, but won’t break the bank AND they also help support the Orphans for Orphans cause set up by owners of Gandys; Rob & Paul.

Rob, Paul and their siblings were left tragically orphaned at the ages of 15 and 17, when their parents were killed in the 2004 Tsunami. Thankfully they were able to return the UK and be supported by friends and family; however they were left with a passion and want to help others and so from their bedroom in London they set up “The Gandys Foundation”. Which helps underprivileged children gain access to things like medication, education and nutrition.

So far alongside many other achievements they have opened up the Our Kids Campus in Sri Lanka (and extended it) and of course the future plans are for so much help to be given to children in need. If you aren’t a fan of flip flops then I totally suggest checking out the round towels – they look amazing, or you could even pick up Rob and Paul’s book which tells their story in their words.

We Are Tea Simplicitea Infuser and Tea.

I live on tea, breakfast tea to be precise, caffeinated or decaff I don’t mind, but tea it needs to be. I remember back in my childhood my Gran making tea using leaves from a canister that was attached to the wall. I was sometimes allowed a small cup and for some reason it always tasted so much nicer (at least in my memory).

Thankfully We Are Tea, didn’t let me down at all when it came to taste, offering a cup as good as my memories and while it is made using real leaves, the Simplicitea Infuser, makes for the easiest cup of leaf tea ever.

All you need to do is add two or three tea spoons to the infuser depending on taste, add hot water and then leave to brew for 90 seconds. The Infuser serves 2 cups or a large mug and to serve it you just place the infuser on top of the cup and it filters the tea through the bottom. Then shake out, rinse and repeat as often as you like. Amazing!

Kiki’s Boutique Light Bulb Glasses – £6.95.

I came across these glasses a while back on Kiki’s Boutique and instantly feel in love with them. They are made to look like vintage light bulbs and come complete with straw, making for the perfect glass for a get together.

If you are worried about these tipping over, never fear, as they have a flat bottom so stand perfectly, without any tipping issues. The only thing that may put some people off, is they have quite a small opening at the top, you wouldn’t be able to drink from these without a straw and so adding drinks, if you have a shaky hand like me, my be better done by using a funnel.

NectaPerfecta Beautifying Mask by Bee Good – £39.95.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I love Bee Good, they are one of those brands I not only buy for myself but often buy as presents and  I really do think they are worth the money. Recently they released the Nectaperfecta Beautifying Mask, (try saying that quickly I dare you) and I can tell you once you have gone NectaPerfecta you are not going back.

NectaPerfecta Beautifying Mask is an all in one product; it is great for your hair, body, hands and face. It is a real SOS product that if your skin is dry you can cocoon it in this mask for 20 minutes and then rinse to not only help remove the dead skin, but also hydrate the new skin underneath as well. For really dry areas such as feet or hands, you could even leave it on overnight and just pop a pair of cotton gloves or socks on top allowing you skin to soak up the goodness.

When it comes to using it on your hands it is perfect both for treating extra dry spots and your cuticles. You need to just apply to the area and leave for 10 minutes before rinsing in warm water and gently pushing back your cuticles with a cotton bud (or similar). For the face you can use it from anything from 60 seconds to up to an hour depending on how long you have to sit back relax and let your skin soak in the goodness of nectar.

Lastly (and perhaps my favourite way to use this) is as a scalp treatment, you only need to use it weekly and it only needs 5-10 minutes to work, so it is relatively easy to fit into your routine. The outcome however is great, I feel like my whole hair has benefited from using NectaPerfecta even though I only need to massage the mask, into the scalp.

So there you have a few things I am loving this month, what do you think of this line up, is there anything you would like yourself?
