Is Profilo Worth It?

I had my first Profilo treatment about two and a half months ago. I had been looking for something that would condition my Skin rather than a filler that would change the structure of it. I have tried dermal filler in past and don’t rule it out in the future, but for now, I prefer to do what I can for my mature skin that doesn’t involve altering the way I look too much.

I found myself a lovely new cosmetic practitioner as I was becoming increasingly frustrated with the guy I had been seeing for a couple of years. He had become terribly ‘hard sell’ and would successfully manage to make me question my looks for a good five minutes after a visit. I firmly believe that this sort of stuff should not be ‘sold’ Give me the facts and then let me make an informed decision. Don’t tell me my face is dropping and caving in all over the place. It’s not a good sales tactic where I am concerned.

Anyway, lucky for me I found Dr Lucy based in Bath. Her clinic is lovely and so is she I told her what I was looking for and informed her that I had researched Profilo as a skin tightening and plumping treatment as well as being good for dry skin (which I have)

She agreed that it was a good option for me as she studied my skin and concluded that at this moment in time, I have no need for dermal filler as I have good structure.

My Face Now, After Profilo

Please excuse the hideous state of my lip in this image. I must write a post about getting over a cold sore! I have hit 50 and will soon be hitting 51! I have no idea how this happened but it’s happened nonetheless. This is almost two weeks after the second round. You have one and then another 4 weeks later.

Do I see a difference?

Some for sure. Much? No. I pretty much saw what I thought I was going to see. An improvement in skin texture and a little tightening over my cheek bones.

Will I Continue to Have Profilo?

Yes I will. I am all for subtle when it comes to keeping my skin looking good. I will have it once every 5-6 months and now consider it part of my beauty routine. I still get a little botox in my forehead but apart from that I will probably leave well enough alone for the foreseeable.

How Much Does Profilo Cost?

I paid £625 for two treatments. I think it’s expensive at first, but then I will be paying £325 twice a year from now on.
