Kansas City tech professionals gathered at Boulevard Brewing Company to take part inTech Cocktail’s Mixer and Startup Showcase. The media company provided a blend ofnetworking event and startup showcase in a party environment. SquareOffs, a social voting platform, snagged top honors as Kansas City’s Hottest Showcasing Startup.

According to their website, SquareOffs is the world’s first social polling platform. “Through user-generated debate on any topic, on any website, SquareOffs increases user engagement and readership by taking voting, commenting and sharing to the next level.”

The Kansas City Business Journal also featured praise about Lucky Orange, a company that provides technology to help businesses track where eyeballs are specifically landing on sites with real-time readership patterns and a mapping.
