The Marriage Game!

Me: So what games did you play today?
Ar: Mumma I & S (his best friend) were playing with G but she played a very bad game.
Me: What bad game?
Ar: Shaadi - Shaadi!
Me: It is not a bad game even I used to play it as a kid
Ar: But Mumma! Bekaar game tha!
Me: Why?
Ar: Even Daddy said it was bakwaas!
Me: Kucch bhi! You know when I was small we would organise the wedding of our dolls, used to make special food, it used to be so much fun!
Ar: Hmmm!
Me: It is a good game! But tell me who was married?
Ar: Me!
Me: What?????? *I laughed out real hard*
Ar: Haan! Mumma!!! *with a sad face*
Me: Whom did she marry you with?

Asked with a glee!! Without much effort I was getting a bahu you see.

Ar: "S"

Ekta Kapoor Serial Style

Me: What??
Me: What??
Me: What??

For the uninitiated "S" is a boy!

Ar: Haan Mumma!

I didn't know whether to laugh or to well laugh harder!

Me: Why didn't you refuse.
Ar: Errr!
Me: Now I know why it was bad game!

At that point Hubby took over the conversation and enlightened me further. Apparently he had found the two boys sitting meekly with that girl performing the ceremony. These boys had mini bouquets in their hands and the resourceful girl had used the peeling whitewash from the walls & applied Teeka on their forehead. She had very smartly pulled in these two buggers into her game & was even sitting with stick to stop them from running away ;-)

With the advent of my husband the game was eventually left off in between *Main adhuri saas reh gayi* & marriage was thankfully not concluded.

Part amused & Part amazed I couldn't  help myself from concluding; kids these days are too smart for  their own good!
