So this book is a collection of Novella and I clearly felt that it was getting better with every novella. It didn’t feel like I was reading Novella (except some repetition of details).
The story got a lot of twists and betrayals, and all elements of politics.
“My name is Celaena Sardothien and I will not be afraid.”
Unlike Ferye, I really didn’t connect to Celanena, who is Arobynn’s best Assassin, it took me two Novella’s to like her, She is self-centered and some what sopilt characters, but if I’ll consider that she is only 16-17, so it felt okay, Obviously she has seen the world and know about all the tricks and people, but still she is a young girl who got some dark secrets and she doesn’t want to lose people she trust and that’s why she got betrayed easily (Everyone knows it right? so it doesn’t count as spoiler )
“She was fire, she was darkness, she was dust and blood and shadow.”
Sam Cortland, he is a really likable character, he instantly clicked for me and left me sobbing, I really felt for celaena the way she had to suffer.
“If you can learn to endure pain, you can survive anything. Some people learn to embrace it- to love it. Some endure it through drowning it in sorrow, or by making themselves forget. Others turn it into anger.”
Arobynn, I never liked him, some negative vibes were emitting from him since the start, I hate him, but his character was interesting, I am eager to know what else he got in his pocket.
And I really wish that saddest Farran got a deserving end, Celaena once mentioned she knows how to skinned a man without killing, she should try it on, Farran
