New Year’s News

It has been exactly a week since 2018 began and I’ve done some reflecting and listening.

A lot has happened over the last year. I received some inspiration from Twitter to list my Writing victories so here we go:

  • 50+ blog followers
  • I won Summer Camp Nano (July)
  • I completed NaPoMo [national poetry month (April)]
  • 25k+ words on NaNoWriMo
  • Participated in CWWC (team got third place, but I feel like I grew as a writer)
  • Almost finished my OYAN novel’s outline. (I should be done with it a little later today.
  • Written a serial story. *becomes self-conscious* I have written the whole thing but posted a little under half of it. I’LL POST MORE SOON, I’M SORRY.

I’ve also met a lot of Neat people and made friends on and offline.

It has also come to my attention from certain sources, that I am sloppy when I write these posts, and when I write my stories. This source says that I have misspelled words and fragment sentences everywhere and that several posts lack context. He puts it rather neatly in this witticism:

You have to set the table before you can eat.

How droll.

But this has gotten my attention, and I will be going over my posts and cleaning them up where need be, so January should be slowed down on my posting schedule. I will post on my regular days if I have a topic, and Fridays will continue as normal after a long break. February 1 should see my blog look nice and neat, and I hope to create better quality posts.

Another thing I want to see this year is some engagement from my audience and writing what they want to read. So if you have post ideas or questions you want to be answered, comment, and I’ll do my best to make those posts and research these questions. If you want more of a specific type of blog post I’ve done in the past, please tell me!

It’s been a wonderful year, now let’s have another one!

my new little signature will be added to all non-story posts.
