1.5 OUT! STUMPED! The Bangladeshi skipper strikes and the experiment of opening with Bhatia fails for India. Smart bowling from Khatun. She flights this wide outside off as she spots that Bhatia is skipping down the track. The ball turns away a hint to go past the defensive bat of Bhatia. Nigar Sultana, the keeper, collects the ball and quickly whips the bails off. No need to go to the third umpire as Bhatia is clearly out of the crease. 16/1

5.3 OUT! CAUGHT! One shot too many for Verma but this is how she bats. Fails to get the timing on this one and perishes. Full and just outside off again, Verma once again tries to launch it over long off. But she ends up miscuing it high in the air towards mid off. Shamima Sultana settles under the ball and tries to catch it over her head. It pops out of her hands but she keeps her eyes on the ball. Does well to lob the ball up again, then on the third attempt, she manages to gobble it. An excellent hand from the teenager comes to an end and she has provided a brisk start to India. 53/2

13.2 OUT! RUN OUT! She is short. Excellent work from Nahida and the keeper there. Low full toss outside off, Rodrigues drives it towards backward point and goes for the single. But seeing the diving stop at point Deepti stutters and sends her partner back. Rodrigues has to return from the middle of the crease as the throw comes at the keeper’s end. She dives full length and tries to get in as Nigar collects the ball and takes the bails off. The decision is referred upstairs and the replays roll in to show that the dive has not saved Jemimah. This could be a big moment in the game. 92/4

10 OUT! CAUGHT! The Indian skipper falls now. That was a poor ball to get out to. She should have left it alone but she goes after it. Had she left, it would’ve been wided. But Ghosh won’t care. She gets her second wicket. Bowls it short and wide outside off, Kaur reaches out and tries to cut but it goes straight to Rumana Ahmed at point. 78/3 at the halfway mark! 78/3

16.5 OUT! Deepti Sharma is run out! Complete hara-kiri! Full and flighted around off, Sharma sweeps it to deep mid-wicket and crosses for a run. Veda Krishnamurthy wants the second and straightaway rushes out for it. Sharma decides to respond but slips while turning. She then chooses to return while Veda keeps on running at the non-striker’s end. The throw comes to the keeper who breaks the stumps immediately. Someone is definitely out but who is that someone is the question. The replays roll in and show that both batters are contesting for the same crease. It’s touch and go, Deepti has the advantage of putting in the dive whereas Veda is the beneficiary of having a good head start. Whose bat is in first? Aahhhh…by a whisker, it’s Veda who has won the race. Disappointed Deepti returns. India losing the plot. 113/6

16.2 OUT! CAUGHT! Excellent running catch from Akter. Richa perishes in search of quick runs! Flighted fuller ball on middle, Ghosh slog sweeps it towards wide long on and tries to clear the ropes. But it is not timed too well. Akter from long on moves across to her right and holds on to a very good catch. Richa cannot believe it as she goes off. 111/5
