English as an additional language (EAL) programme

We, top international schools in Delhi, invite student for whom English is an extra language(EAL) to their native language. For a few student this may imply that they have had practically no experience of the English dialect preceding beginning at the school.

Our EAL program by IB diploma schools in India, is intended to support these student, to incorporate them into the educational modules and to help them gain good progress. Primary

Being an International schools in India, not all of the kids who come to our school have English as a first dialect. Student who don’t have the level of English required to get to the standard educational programs in Primary school are supported by the EAL Staff.

EAL Specialist work with every students & small groups to propel the ELLs English capability.

The EAL group endeavors to build a positive and secure environment by arranging an extensive variety of challenging,empowering and interactive activities with the goal of positive and remunerating knowledge for the student.

During the enrollment procedure, students are screened by the EAL division to decide their level of English in the core area of writing, reading, talking and listening . Taking after this assessment, if EAL support is required, students are set in the EAL program. There is additionally a clear referral system that class educators initiate if they believe that student in their class could be a potential EAL student.

Secondary

As an universal, multicultural school, we invite student whose first language is not English, & we give support to help them get to standard learning. All student applying for admission to the school are required to take the formal and general evaluations set by the school.

An student’s present level of English capability; and
The extent and scope of English services required, including a suggestion from the class educator for the type and intensity of in-class/across the educational programs support required.

The evaluation contains:
1. Aural comprehension;
2.Oral interaction;
3.Word utilization; Reading comprehension of graded text; and
4. A written composition to give the student a chance to show a capacity to utilize language suitably in an open-finished circumstance.

We offer serious aptitude based EAL support and substance based incorporated class support for particular subjects. A student may exit from the arranged EAL program when s/he can t participate completely in regular educational programme.
