The GRE test consists of 3 sections, namely the:

Verbal Reasoning (2 sections)

It tests the candidate’s ability to conclude any discourse, identify the author’s perspective, intent and figurative parts of the language. It analyses how capable you are in summarizing text, approving the structure of the test and so on. Each section consists of 20 questions, and only 30 minutes is Allotted.

• Verbal Reasoning- It assesses your ability to comprehend and understand written materials, provide and evaluate arguments. It contains 36 questions, and the allotted time is 65 minutes. And one has to perform sentence correction, read comprehensions and provide critical reasoning.

An update was made, which would help the students to choose the section order as per their preference. This new feature is known as Select Section Order.
