What does Jesus say about Islam?

Tags: jesus

There exists many Muslims in the world today who are quick in saying that the gospels try to draw a picture of a Jesus who walks in harmony with the ways of the Islamic religion. These individuals have not stopped in trying to prove such things to be true by pointing to the fasting and praying of Christ and then blindly try to find similarities between the way Jesus performed these things with the way Muslims do. However, let us ignore what Islam says about Jesus and let us see WHAT JESUS SAYS ABOUT ISLAM.

In Matthew 16:21-23 Jesus is making known to his disciples the things that are to come upon him. Mainly that:
1) He will be mistreated
2) He will be crucified
3) He will rise on the third day

After saying these things, Peter took Jesus aside and began to tell him that such things SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO HIM. Because of this saying, Jesus says to him " Get behind me Satan, YOU DON'T have in mind the things of God, but the things of men." In other words, he is telling Peter that such sayings which deny his crucifixion death and resurrection arise from a satanic and man made influence.

Let us now see what the Quran has to say about this:

In Surah 4:157 the Quran says:
"And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain."
The decision is yours!
