What about reincarnation?

The new age movement is something that has greatly increased in popularity within the last few decades or so. Many who stand within this field such as Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey have tried to demonstrate to the world that Christ was just another enlightened soul who came to this earth to bring humanity back in harmony with the Christ consciousness. One of MANY of its false doctrines includes the belief in Reincarnation. In other words, it is the idea that death is just an open door into another life on earth. But what does Jesus have to say about this?

Many may not know this, but Jesus CLEARLY spoke out against such a doctrine. In John 9:1-12, we read of the story of a man that was BLIND FROM BIRTH. The disciples then go on to ask Jesus if this was a result of HIS sin, or the sins of his parents. The question we must ask ourselves is this: How can this be a result of HIS sin if he was born this way? The ONLY way this would make sense is if they were pointing to the idea of reincarnation. In other words, he would have had to sin in a PREVIOUS life in order for this to make sense. What we see here is the level and amount of misconceptions and falsehoods that were being spread among the Jews during that time. But what did Jesus say in reply?

Christ told them that his blindness was NOT due to HIS sin ( reincarnation) and neither was it due to the wickedness of his parents (generational curses). Rather, this was to serve as the way by which the works of God may be displayed in him.

Jesus rejected the whole belief in reincarnation.

Man lives ONCE and he dies ONCE. Then is the Judgement.
