For anyone Curious about your ancestry/lineage, study your 2nd House. Any placements there show the previous history that you may not have access to. It also shows your family’s traditions. I think that the most obvious thing that it will show is previous finances in your family and your likelihood to inherit them (8th from the 2nd). Also, comparing the 2nd House to your cooking and language skills can show the actual standing of your 2nd House, as in whether or not it’s afflicted.
For people without stability in their lives (especially those with that detrimental Uranus/Neptune placement in the 4th), you may find answers in the 2nd House. You may also find answers if you count 4 Houses from your moon placement.
If you’re looking for current indications of stability, take a look at your Progressed chart and transits.
