India had Secured 11th Position in World Skills Competition 2022

India Secured 11th position in World Skills Competition (WSC 2022 ) which was conducted from September 3 to November 28 across Europe, East Asia and North America..India have won two silver medals,three bronze medals and 13 Medallions in Excellence.

World Skills Competition is the best treasure hunt known for raising the profile and recognition of skilled people. In India Candidates are selected by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) through India Skills Competition.

This year WSC got huge response and over whelming participation from India in 50 skills with over 56  competitors, 50 experts, 11 Interpreters and 7 team leaders displaying their performance across many industries. Various Industries like Mechatronics ,Hotel receptionist, Bakery, web and graphic technologies and many more.

The participation in WSC across 50 skills where in six skills comprises a team of two competitors each. Among the 56 competitors 11 were women and 12 were from ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes. This year India performed much better than 2019.Last time India has secured 13th position in the competition, The certificate of merit was also awarded to various subject matter experts.

Among the winners, Nandita Saxena became the first ever female competitor who won a Silver medal in hospital sector (patisserie and confectionery trade ). A remarkable performance from Anushree Srinivasan won a bronze medal in hotel reception.Along with that India Secured two Medallions of Excellence in hairdressing by Charmi Sen and Saraswathy PV in health and social ca
