CBSE to adopt new education system from Next Academic Year.

In line with the direction of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020  by the Indian government, The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is planning to shift towards the implementation of 5+3+3+4 structure. Cbse board will soon circulate an order asking all the CBSE schools in India to make arrangement for the migration from the current 10+2 model to the proposed new 5+3+3+4 model.

The CBSE is planning to implement the new model from the upcoming academic year onwards. The board will be shortly provide the outlook for the adoption of the new proposed (5+3+3+4) model of education for all the schools.  CBSE will begin the creation of school registry, teacher and student registry.in order to track the progress through the multiple stages of schooling.

One of the best feature of NEP is the inclusion of 3-to-6 year old children in formal education.Several CBSE schools are already in to younger children education system frame work through pre-nurseries and preparatory schools.

The new proposed model of NEP 2020 divides the educational system in to four stages. The First stage is the Foundational stage which will be for five years. The Second is the Preparatory stage which will be for three years. The Third is the middle stage which will be for three years.The Secondary stage is four years long. The new divisions are maintained to be in accordance with the cognitive development stages. Under the NEP, The board exams for grades 10 to 12 will continue.The main examination is compulsory while the improvement exam will be optional
