According to Indeed job platform data survey the Indian market is witnessing a positive growth and increased demand that boosts hiring process across several industries. July Month saw a tremendous growth of 40.5% with record numbers on new job postings. Most of the companies started hiring the talent and Soft Skills will play a key role in Talent acquisition.

Companies now a days are looking for creative and growth mind people to recruit. Growth Mindset is a soft skill that saw the highest rise (194%)  in demand in the last two years.( April 2020 - April 2022 ). Growth mindset is the ability that a person develop his capabilities through mere dedication and hard work. Learning is a continuous process and resilience is very much critical to achieve positive results.

Creativity is in second place that saw the highest growth (72%) in the last two years. Creativity is nothing but the ability to think about a task or a problem in a new way or to use imagination that generates new ideas. Critical Thinking is another third top skill that saw the tremendous growth in the last two years. Critical thinking is the ability to make informed decisions by evaluating several different sources.

Autonomy is fourth top skill that also grew by 45% in the last two years.It is the ability to plan and work in the most conductive to their own best performance.Persuasion (-6%) and public speaking (-12%) saw a de-growth during last two years. 

Soft skills are very much important at the work place.Soft skills are personality traits and the behaviours you display in different situations. Soft skills can also be learned and developed with practice and experience.Businesses require equal amount of soft skills and technical skills.
