Ministry of Home Affairs approves Conduct of Examinations by Universites and Institutions

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has permitted Universities, Higher Education, and other Academic Institutions to conduct examinations during Unlock2 Phase. On Monday MHA has sent a letter to the Higher Education Secretary permitting universities and academic institutions to conduct Examinations.

The Final Year Examinations are compulsorily conducted by all universities and Higher Education academic institutions as according to University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) as approved by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. 

Various examinations conducted by Universities, Higher Education, and academic institutions have been suspended across the country since March during the Covid-19 lockdown. The Central Government has announced Unlock 1 on June 1st and Unlock 2 on July 1st.

During this Unlock Periods Government has allowed certain operations in all areas on phase-wise except on Containment zones.  Regular Functioning of Schools, Colleges, Universities, and Other academic institutions remain suspended.
