No one should learn on an empty stomach

Going to School hungry makes it much harder to concentrate and learn.  And yet this is a common issue around the world.  Even in first-world countries, where education is assumed to be available for all, Children are arriving without having eaten properly.

This isn’t a rare issue.  In Canada alone, 1 in 6 children face hunger every school year.  That’s an alarming, and embarrassing, number for a country as forward-thinking and economically sound as Canada.  We need to do something.  Now.

Breakfast for Learning (http://www.breakfastforlearning.ca/) helps arrange sponsorship of hungry children. They have been a registered charity for 22 years, and serve 3.8 million children and youths who are malnourished.  So far, they have served over half a billion meals and snacks. It’s your turn to help them.  Please visit their site, read their story, and donate.  Even a small amount helps enormously.
