NTS Preparation Guidelines

National Testing Service (NTS) has been conducting several entry tests for different government and private institutions in the country. Most of the times,  the entry tests conducted by NTS are based on a similar pattern.

There are four sections in the Nts Tests, which are as under:

  1. Verbal Reasoning (20 MCQs)
  2. Analytical Reasoning (20 MCQs)
  3. Quantitative Reasoning (20 MCQs)
  4. Subject Knowledge (30-40 MCQs)

Verbal Reasoning :

Verbal reasoning tests access your understanding and comprehension skills. The easier verbal Reasoning test, such as sentence completion, comprehension and analogies, measures your ability to use the English language. You will be presented with a short passage of text and will need to answer a True, False or Cannot Say response to each statement.

Analytical Reasoning :

The Analytical reasoning test is also called the conceptual reasoning test. It measures your lateral thinking skills or fluid intelligence, which are your ability to quickly identify patterns, logical rules and trends in new data, integrate this information, and apply it to solve problems. It measures what most people would refer to as ‘ street smarts’ and the ability to ‘think on your feet’. Check out our Analytical Reasoning Section for interactive questions with answers.

Quantitative Reasoning :

The Quantitative Reasoning  test measures your  mathematical concepts , ability to interpret, analyse and draw logical conclusions based on numerical data presented in graphs and tables. These tests are conducted to check your decision making and problem solving skills. Check out our Quantitative Reasoning Section for interactive questions with answers.

Subject Knowledge :

Subject related questions are general question related to the post you are applying. e.g; if you are applying for an accountant job, you will be asked different questions related to accounting and finance. Most of the times, these questions consist of basic knowledge and definitions. One should go through all the basic questions relevant to the post in order to qualify.

NTS tests are not difficult to pass, it all depends on your practice and ability to manage time.
