“I’m writing this blog post to support Amnesty International’s #KnowYourRights campaign at BlogAdda.
Without any formalities I would like to draw your kind attention towards these serious issues which is increasing day by day and we are helpless to stop this which is alarming and should be nipped in the bud.
I had started my career as a Tutor when I was just 11 years young for my pocket money. My observation is based on facts which I saw when I used to go for taking tuition classes for 2 kids studying in 3rd & 4thstandard whereby one was girl and other was boy from the same family – Brother and Sister. To my surprise, the treatment given to both of them was shocking – brother used to sit at Chair & Sister used to sit on the floor. At that time I had no understanding why all these things are happening and at the same I was surprised & shocked because in my family my parents treated us equal.
1. In the eyes of parents – only Male child will support them when they grew old.
2. In the eyes of parents – only male child can continue next generation.
3. In the eyes of parents – only male child will stay with them for the whole life.
4. In the eyes of parents – only male child can provide financial safety & security to them.
5. In the eyes of parents – only male child can bring proud & respect to their families etc.
What I mean to say that parents think that if everything is possible only with the help of male child then why to INVEST on female child which is not going to give them any RETURN.
3 reasons why you think it is important to encourage reporting sexual violence:
1. It will extend AWARENESS among people so that it will not be repeated again.
2. It will increase the VALUE & RESPECT for that FEMALE in the eyes of Country people.
3. It will bring a drastic change in everybody ATTITUDE & PERCEPTION just how to behave with FEMALE at every place.
