For example, some animals like to make noise while others have antlers. Some animals have fancy feathers while other animals have are show-offs. Whatever the case may be, this book show how different animals use their unique features. Instead of showcasing the animals, Look at Me! Wild Animal Show-Offs, showcases certain unique features the animals have. This is very different from the other animal books I have read the kids. It gives them a whole new perspective on why animals have different features. As they learn about the features and why they are important, the children will also see some animals that have these features.
Trip to the Zoo
Take your kids on a trip to the zoo. Have them talk about the animals they see.See if they can come up with a category and group the animals together. For example, they want to talk about animals that have fur to keep them warm. Your zoo might have a polar bear to add to the list.
My Overall Opinion
We have found that exposing children to knowledge is the key to keeping their curiosity alive. Look at Me! Wild Animal Show-Offs exposes kids to different animal features and how they become the animals strength. This perspective, along with a wonderfully illustrated book will set kids on the path to learn more about different animals. This book is a great book for kids.
