Squirts Day at Home Book Review and Giveaway

Book Summary

Squirts family needed to leave for the day. They left him safe in his cage with his favorite snack nearby. However, Squirt found a way out of the cage and went on an adventure. He found something to drink from, toilet paper to play with, and even some choice snacks.

This was all fine for squirt, but he soon realized his people would be coming home soon. Not a good way to leave the house. It was up to squirt to fix his mess.

About the Author

I want to give a shout out to Brady A. Lund. This is his first book and at such a young age, good job.

However, I do want to point out, when reading Squirt’s Day at Home, we felt there was just something missing. The story was an interesting adventure but it needed a little more. For example, Squirt napped a lot. I can understand one nap, but it seemed to make the flow a little choppy.

Activity

If you have any type of pet at home, let Squirt’s Day at Home be an inspiration to you. Write a story about what you think your pet will do when you are at home. Compare and contrast the differences between your book and this one.

My Overall Opinion

Overall, Squirt’s Day at Home was an okay read. The storyline was nice and the adventure was fun. While it may have found this book to lack a little depth, the kids enjoyed this book. A fun book to have in your library.
