 1. Gail arm to invest INR 3,000 cr in Dabhol terminal to double capacity to 10 mt

 

The newly-created arm of state-run gas major Gail India in Dabhol (Maharashtra), Konkan LNG, will pump in around INR 3,000 cr to double the capacity at its LNG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) to 10 million tonnes over the next three years.

 Konkan LNG, a 100% subsidiary of Gail, had received the first 1.2 lakh tonne shipment on 30th March 2018.

 The 5.8-mt LNG contracted from the first-ever long-term agreement with the US which was signed way back in 2011 and 2013.

2. Now, Tibetans to host ‘Thank You India’ campaign in Delhi

 

Sheila Dixit (Former Delhi Chief Minister) will preside over the opening ceremony of the Cultural Festival of Tibet event.

 Over a long period of time, it is organized by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), in New Delhi.

 Lobsang Sangay (CTA President) will also attend the inaugural ceremony that will continue till 4th April 2018.

 

 Apart from the exhibitions, film screening and performances by the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, there will be a discussion on “India and Tibet: Ancient Ties, Current Bonds”.

 

 

3. MHRD launched the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan

 

Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) has been launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

 This Abhiyan is launched to encourage Science & Mathematics learning in children and for developing their interest through various activities related to Science and Mathematics.

 One of the interventions under RAA is strengthening of school’s laboratories of Science and Mathematics through RMSA (Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan).

 The total amount of INR 179.73 cr has been approved in 2017-18 for the training of science and mathematics teachers, provision of science and maths kits, remedial teaching, science exhibitions, etc.

4. President Ram Nath Kovind embarks on 3 National Africa tour

 

Three National Africa states (Equatorial Guinea, Swaziland and Zambia) visit from 7th to 12th April 2018 will be embarked by President Ram Nath Kovind.

 This visit will be the first one by any head the of state of India to Equatorial Guinea and Swaziland.

 This visit will be helpful to develop the relations among these three African countries.

 In March 2018, the President had also undertaken two nation visits to Madagascar and Mauritius.

5. Government is going to launch Gobardhan Yojana nationally from Haryana

 

By end of April 2018, the Union Government will launch GOBAR-Dhan Yojna nationally from Karnal district of Haryana.

 The aim is to provide organic manure and cow urine with an aimi to benefit farmers.

 Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has announced this scheme in his 2018 Indian budget speech.

 Under GOBAR-Dhan scheme, the government will aim to cover nearly 700 districts of India in 2018-19.

6. Government shaped committee to regulate news portals

A committee has been formed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to regulate online portals, including entertainment sites, news websites and media aggregators.

 In this committee, 10 members are included from secretaries of the departments of home, legal affairs, electronics and information & technology and from industrial policy and promotion.

 The committee will be able to look at three things. First one is to bring online information dissemination under regulation. Second is to propose a policy for foreign direct investment in media and the third one is to look at international best practices on such existing regulatory mechanism.

7. Union HRD Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar Releases ‘NIRF India Ranking 2018’ for Higher Education Institutions

Shri Prakash Javadekar (Union Minister of Human Resource Development) released the NIRF India Rankings 2018 in various categories which are based on the performance of Higher Educational Institutions.

The programme has organized in New Delhi.

 Top 69 institutions in 9 categories were awarded in this event.

 List of winner institutes in 9 categories is given below

Overall category – Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

 Management Category – Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.

 University category – Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

 Colleges category – Miranda House, Delhi.

8. India will be the partner country for Ambiente 2019

India will be the partner country for international Frankfurt Trade Fair, Ambiente 2019 which is going to be held in between February 8-12, 2019.

 It was announced on the penultimate day of Ambiente 2018 by Messe Frankfurt at a festive ceremony.

9. Govt. bans over the counter sale of 14 steroid creams

 

The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry banned the sale of 14 steroid creams for preventing indiscriminate sale of ointments which contains steroids and antibiotics without prescription.

 With Drugs Technical Advisory Board (DTAB), the decision was taken.

 These 14 steroid-based creams and ointments were included under Schedule H of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945.

10. Eighth Regional 3R Forum in Asia and Pacific held in Indore

 

The Union of ministry of housing and urban affairs and government of Madhya Pradesh jointly organized the Eighth Regional 3R Forum in Asia and the Pacific.

 It was inaugurated by Sumitra Mahajan (Lok Sabha Speaker) and housing and urban affairs minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

 the theme of the event at Indore is ‘Achieving Clean Water, Clean Land and Clean Air through 3R and Resource Efficiency – A 21st-Century Vision for Asia-Pacific Communities’

11. India donates USD 1 Million for Swaziland’s National Disaster Management Agency

 

USD 1 million donated by India to support Swaziland’s national disaster management agency and expressed commitment to the developmental partnership to create local capacities in the country and across Africa.

 

 The commitment came as the President Ram Nath Kovind becoming the first visiting Head of the State to do so.

 Swaziland was invited by India to joint International Solar Alliance (ISA) as a partner

12. The 11th Edition of World Hindi Conference to be held in Mauritius

 

Mauritius to host the 11th World Hindi Conference from 18-20 August 2018 at Swami Vivekananda International Conference Center.

 This conference will provide the common platform to several Hindi scholars, writers from different parts of the world for contributing the language.

 Mauritius Education Minister Leela Devi Dookhun Luchoomun and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj released the logo of 11th World Hindi Conference and the website of the event on 10th April 2018.

 

 

 

13. NHAI signed Agreement under IMT Trilateral Highway for its First International Project

An agreement for upgradation of Yagyi – Kalewa section of highway in Myanmar to two lanes with earthen shoulder has been signed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

 This will be the first international project of NHAI which is a part of trilateral highway India-Myanmar-Thailand (IMT).

14. 16th International Energy Forum Ministerial Meeting Hosted by India

 

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has inaugurated 16th International Energy Forum.

 This is the second time when India hosted IEF Ministerial meeting. The last meeting was hosted in 1996 at Goa which was the 5th IEF Ministerial meeting.

 Theme of this meeting was “The Future of Global Energy Security: Transition, Technology, Trade, and Investment”.

15. Gram Swaraj Abhiyan on Ambedkar Jayanti

 

On Ambedkar Jayanti (14th April 2018), a “Gram Swaraj Abhiyan” was organized by the Prime Minister that will last till 5th May 2018.

 The campaign is for spreading the awareness about welfare schemes and other people-centric initiatives by reaching out to the poor households.

16. IAF to conduct the Biggest Combat Exercise along Pakistan, China Borders:

“Gagan Shakti” the biggest ever combat exercise is going to be conducted by IAF (Indian Air Force) along Pakistan and China borders.

 Based on the order of the Air Force Chief, the air force will mobilize its assets in the war scenario within 48 hours of the orders.

 The Indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Tejas will be taking part in this exercise for the first time and will perform two roles i.e offensive and defensive.

17. Transgenders to be Recognized as Independent Gender Category in PAN Form:

 

The government of India has amended new income tax rules. As per the new rules now transgenders to be recognized as an independent category to get a Permanent Account Number (PAN).

 To apply for PAN, a notification has been issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) which frames the policy that provides a new tick box for the transgenders.

18. Proposal Invited by Government for India’s First Offshore Wind Project:

 

For the first offshore wind energy project of India, the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued Expression of Interest (EoI).

 The global Eoi is for developing 1000 MW offshore wind energy project in Gulf of Khambhat, off the coast of Gujarat.

 The proposed area for the project is located 23-40 seaward side from Pipavav port in Gujarat.

19. ‘Mission Buniyaad’ launched to improve the Students Learning Skills.

 

For improving the learning skills of small children from class 3 to 9, Delhi Govt. has launched the “Mission Buniyaad”.

 The Primary education of Delhi falls within the space of Municipal Corporations while the Upper primary to Senior Education is offered by Delhi Govt.

 The learning program is going to be offered in the MSD Schools for class 3 to 5 students, whereas the class 6 to 9 students skills are going to be furnished in govt. schools of Delhi.

20. Health and Wellness Care Centers inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi

The PM of India Narendra Modi inaugurated the Health and Wellness Care Centre under the Union Government’s ambitious Health Assurance Program- Ayushman Bharat.

 The Center was inaugurated on Ambedkar Jayanti at Jangla Development Hub in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh.

 PM of India distributed the loan sanction letters to the beneficiaries under the Mudra Scheme of India.

 He also interacted with the Rural BPO Employees along with the inauguration of a bank branch at Jangla.

21. Minister of State inaugurates the Solar Lamp Assembly & Distribution Center.

 

On the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Awardee BR Ambedkar, the Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy Shri R K Singh, inaugurated the Solar Study Lamps at Mahuli village in Arrah for welfare of underprivileged.

 The program would be assisted by the Self-Help Group (SHG) women who would assemble the Solar Lamps and distribute them to the needy students who do not have electricity access.

22. The President of India received the first copy of the book ‘Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar – Vyakti Nahin Sankalp.

On the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, the president of India received the first copy of book ‘Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar- Vyakti Nahin Sankalp’ at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

 The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawar Chand Gehlot and Editor of the Book Kishor Makwana were present in the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

24. Home Expo India 2018 inaugurated by the Union Minister of India.

The Union Minister of Textiles and Information and Broadcasting Smriti Irani inaugurated the seventh edition of Home Expo India 2018 at Greater Noida.

 The Home Expo is organized by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) for benefit of more than 650 Indian exporters in displaying the houseware, decorative, furnishing, flooring, textiles and furniture’s accessories.

25. PM of India on 5 days visit to European Countries

 

The PM of India is visiting the two European Countries Sweden and United Kingdom for 5 days. The mission of the Foreign countries visit is

 To attend the Bilateral meetings with Prime Ministers of Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland and for India- Nordic Summit and Common Wealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

 To address a unique event ‘Bharat Ki Baat, Sabke Saath’ in London.

 To participate in the CHOGM program being hosted by the United Kingdom.

26. Choice Based Credit System to be introduced by the Haryana Govt for Students.

 

The Govt. of Haryana is going to introduce the Choice based Credit System (CBCS) for the betterment of students and decreasing the work load in eleven subjects under graduation level and revise the syllabus.

 The subjects under the program are Political Science, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Botany, Zoology, Commerce and Geography.

 To make the Choice Based System working they would review the existing syllabus in the Universities of Haryana, University Grant Commission, the neighboring states as well as model states of Haryana.

27. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana launched in Telangana

On the 127th Birth Anniversary of the BR Ambedkar, Union Minister of Natural Gas and Petroleum, Dharmendra Pradhan launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY).

 The aim of this program is to provide the deposit free LPG Connections for the domestic cooking purpose.

 Till now over 3.5 crore families have been benefited by the scheme and over 20 lakh new connections are going to be provided within 2 years.

28. First regional Conference held in Eastern States on Water Resources.

 

To address the outstanding water issues of states the first conference of eastern states on Water Resources was held in Kolkata.

 The interlinking of the rivers was one of the major issues for this conference.

 To find a solution to the intra- basin issues of water resources in the states like Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal the conference was schemed.

29. Second longest bridge in Odisha opened

 

Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated the 2nd longest bridge in Odisha in the Sambalpur District.

 The bridge is around 2.5 Km long and costs around INR 117.50 crore.

30. Goa to be developed as Cargo hub of India

Goa is going to be promoted by the Central Govt. in the collaboration with the State Govt along with the private partners to become the tourism destination and cargo hub.

 Goa is one of the highest tourism destinations in India.

 Seeing this Union Minister of Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu has decided to make Mopa Airport operative from September 2020.

 Renovation work of around INR 300 crore is being completed at Dabolim Airport and it would be continued to operate along with the Mopa Airport.

31. India & Wiesbaden Conference 2018 took place in New Delhi

Two-day Conference held on at Federation House in New Delhi between India & Wiesbaden on 16 & 17 April.

 The host of the Conference was Ministry of External Affairs of India, United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) and Govt. of Germany.

 The Conference was held to share the experiences on export control systems for the participants to identify the legal and technical assistance.

32. The Central Govt. of India has shifted the targets to complete the plan of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana from the year 2022 to 2019

As per the Union govt. reports the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is on its way to completion and would achieve the target up to 2019.

 The target has been shifted to 2019 as it was decided to complete till the end of 2022.

 Till now around five lakhs fifty thousand Kms. of road has been constructed.

33. SAARC regional Summit held in Hyderabad

 The proposal is declared for more than 5 lakh govt employees in the State.

34. Government plans to accelerate the district growth by 3%

The Govt. of India has decided to initiate a District plan to accelerate the growth of districts by 3 %.

 The Minister of Union Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu stated that the district plan will ensure the 5 trillion dollars target for the Indian economy would become achievable at the National level.

 The first six districts included in the program are Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri in Maharashtra, Muzaffarpur in Bihar, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, and Solan in Himachal Pradesh.

 

 

35. First meeting for Poshan Abhiyan held in New Delhi

 

The first meeting of National Council of India’s Nutrition Challenges held in New Delhi under POSHAN Abhiyaan.

 The Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Dr. Rajiv Kumar, CEO Amitabh Kant and representatives of various ministers of the central and State Govt. participated in the program.

 The purpose of the meeting was to provide the policy directions to address the nutrition challenges of the country through coordinated Inter Sectoral action.

36. Vice President launched the Cashless Health Scheme

 

Vice President of India launched the Assam Govt. health scheme named Atal Amrit Abhiyan that would offer free medical care up to INR 2 lakhs for every individual Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Above Poverty line (APL) too.

 The amount of INR 400 crores is decided for the scheme in the financial year 2018-19. Whereas the 92 percent of the population of state would be covered in the scheme having an annual income below 5 lakh rupees.

37. President of India visits to Jammu & Kashmir

President of India Ram Nath Kovind visited the Jammu & Kashmir where he addressed the sixth convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) AT Katra

 President met the Chief Justice of Jammu & Kashmir high Court Mr. Ramalingam Sudhakar, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises and Chairman of Munjal Auto Engineering Limited at the event.

38. Cabinet Launched Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by the PM, Narendra Modi has launched the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) at Mandla in Madhya Pradesh

 This scheme will extend to all States and UTs of the Country and will also include institutions of rural local government in areas, where Panchayats do not exist.

 The scheme will have both Central Component like National Level activities including “National Plan of Technical Assistance”, “Mission Mode project on e-Panchayat”, “Incentivization of Panchayats” and State component as Capacity Building of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI).

39. Union Cabinet approved death penalty for child rapists

The Union Cabinet has approved an ordinance to allow courts to pronounce the death penalty to those convicted of raping children up to 12 years of age.

 Ordinance approved by the Cabinet also prescribes the minimum punishment in case of rape of women to increase from rigorous imprisonment of 7 years to 10 years, extendable to life imprisonment.

 In case of rape of a girl under 16 years, minimum punishment has been increased from 10 years to 20 years, extendable to imprisonment for rest of life, which means imprisonment till that person’s natural life.

40. Madras HC becomes 1st court in South India to introduce e-court fee payment facility

The Madras High Court became first court in South India and overall eighth in the country to introduce e-court fee payment facility.

 It will provide easier and secure way of paying stamp duty. It will also help to tackle sale of counterfeit judicial stamps duty.

 The advantage of this system is that the court fee can be paid as and when user desires without bothering about non-availability of physical stamps.

41. Sundarban Reserve Forest to get Ramsar site status

The Sundarban Reserve Forest will be recognized as the Ramsar site soon. West Bengal Government has given its approval to State Forest Department to apply for coveted Ramsar Site recognition under Ramsar Convention to Sundarban Reserve Forest.

 Sundarbans Reserve Forest will be largest protected wetland in the country after getting approval as Ramsar

 The status wetland of international importance under Ramsar Convention will help in conservation of Sundarban (World Heritage Site) which is facing threat from climate change and rising sea level.

42. Suresh Prabhu chaired 1st Meeting of Think Tank on Framework for National Policy on E-Commerce

Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu, has inaugurated the 1st meeting of the think tank on the Framework for National Policy on E-commerce.

 The Department of Commerce has established the think tank on the Framework for National Policy on E-commerce recently.

 The meeting will provide a reliable forum for an inclusive and fact-based dialogue leading to recommendations for informed policy making to take advantage of the opportunities, and meet the challenges, that would arise from the next wave of advancements in the digital

43. 1st smart city to run on 100% Renewable Energy during daytime

 

Diu Smart City has become the first city in India, that runs on 100% renewable energy during daytime setting a new benchmark for other cities to become clean and green.

 A 9 MW solar park spread over 50 hectares rocky barren land has been developed besides installing solar panels on the rooftops on 79 government buildings to generate 1.3 MW electricity annually.

 To further enhance its solar capacity, Diu offers its residents a subsidy of INR 10, 000-50,000 for installing 1-5 KW rooftop solar panels.

 Diu is saving about 13,000 tons of carbon emissions every year.

44. Adopt Heritage Project: Government awards LoI for 22 monuments

 

The Ministry of Tourism has awarded Letters of Intent (LoI) to 9 agencies for 22 monuments under Adopt a Heritage Project: Apni Dharohar, Apni Pehchaan Scheme.

 The project primarily focuses on providing basic facilities that include cleanliness, public convenience, drinking water, ease of access for tourists, signage etc. and advanced amenities like a Souvenir shop, Cafeteria, TFC etc.

45. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 Launched by HRD Ministry

Minister of Human Resource Development Shri Prakash Javadekar has launched Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 in New Delhi.

 Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 2.0 is in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision to transform India, in which students from colleges and universities will go to nearby villages to get acquainted with the life of the village people and the problems faced by them in day to day life.

46. Relaxation to six-decade-old Protected Area Permit regime in Nagaland, Mizoram and Manipur

 

Foreign tourists will now be allowed to visit Nagaland, Mizoram and Manipur which are pristine locations of India, except those from Pakistan, China and Afghanistan.

 The home ministry has decided to relax the six-decade-old Protected Area Permit regime from Nagaland, Mizoram and Manipur for five years with effect from April 1.

 The move is being initiated to promote tourism, create job opportunities for the locals and generate revenue for the states.

47. NITI Aayog announced the launch of Atal New India Challenges

The NITI Aayog has launched Atal New India Challenge under Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) with the aim to bring-in innovations and technologies relevant to the people.

 Under this initiative, applicants showing capability, intent, and potential to productize technologies will be awarded grants up to INR 1 crore.

 This initiative will focus on efforts towards solving problems in core areas, which would have direct impact on improving lives of citizens and also generate employment.

48. Van Dhan scheme launched by PM to help increase tribal income

 

PM Narendra Modi has launched the Van Dhan Scheme of Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) during the celebrations of Ambedkar Jayanti at Bijapur, Chhattisgarh.

 This scheme is for socio-economic development of tribal living in forests, for whom, collecting Minor Forest Produce (MFP) is a major source of livelihood.

1. The US and South Korea began a Joint Military Exercise named “Foal Eagle”.

 

The United State and South Korea began the joint military exercise for more than 11,500 U.S. troops and nearly 300,000 South Korean forces.

 The exercises will run for four weeks. This one is the largest annual joint military exercise.

 Earlier, the drill was to be organized in February 2018, but it delayed avoiding a clash with Winter Olympic Games in South Korea.

2. Turkey has launched construction of first ever nuclear plant

 

The President of Turkey launched the construction of Turkey’s first-ever nuclear power plant in Mersin region. The launch of this project was done by the two Presidents with the help of video conferencing.

 The estimated cost of the power plant would be 20 billion dollars.

 First stage of this nuclear plant will be completed by 2023.

3. Shushma Swaraj on 3 Day Visit to Azerbaijan

 

Three days visit to Azerbaijan is begun by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for participating in Mid-Term Ministerial Meeting of Non-Aligned Movement in Baku.

 During this visit, EAM will hold bilateral consultations with her Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov.

 Discussion will be based on bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.

4. International Conference on Human Rights inaugurated by Nepal President

 

Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari inaugurated an International Conference on Human Rights in South Asia in Kathmandu.

 National Human Rights Commission of Nepal has organized the conference.

 The objective of this conference is identifying challenges, assessing progress, addressing impunity and realizing human rights in South Asia.

5. Joint Military Exercise concluded between UAE, Malaysia

 

“Desert Tiger 5” joint military exercise concluded by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Malaysia aimed at sharing expertise and enhancing joint military actions.

 The exercise is also for improving the performance level, combat efficiency and working together.

6. Conference on Water, Environment & Climate Change begins in Kathmandu

This was the first international conference on Water, Environment and Climate change which is inaugurated by Vice President of Nepal Nanda Bahadur Pun.

 The 3-day conference was organized by the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage, Govt of Nepal in association with the Society of Public Health Engineers Nepal and Nepal Engineers Association.

 The objective of the conference was to discuss and deliberate on challenges related to water and environmental issues.

7. Bangladesh Ends up with the Reservation System in Government Jobs

After thousands of students marched across the Bangladesh country to protest a controversial policy of setting aside jobs for special groups, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina decided to scrap the quota system in government services.

 National capital Dhaka one of the main points of protests saw groups of students blocking key roads and highways, besides clashing at the Dhaka University which resulted in injuries to more than 100 students.

 

 

8. Former PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif banned from holding office

 

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has banned the former PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif from holding any public office.

 The reason for the ban is the corruption charges and holding the undeclared source of Income.

9. Road Safety Fund launched by United Nations

 

Noticing the rise of Road Accidents in India and Canada, the officials of United Nation has launched the Road Safety Funds.

 The UN Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed claimed that around 1.3 million drivers, passengers and pedestrians die per year and more than 50 million gets injured in road accidents around the world.

 The Road Safety plan would be carried out on five pillars named- Strengthened road safety management capacities, enhanced safety of vehicles, improved safety of road infrastructure and border transport networks, improved behavior of Roads users and improved post – crash care of Global Plan by UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

 As per the UNECE reports USD 51000 would be leveraged for the Road Safety fund whereas each USD 1500 would save one life and prevent 10 serious injuries.

10. India and China would work together on OPEC

 

India, China, and other Asian Countries are going to work together to voice against the ‘Asian Premium’ being charged by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

 OPEC is a petroleum selling organization that sells the Petrol and Products to India and other Asian Countries at High Price as compared to the European Countries and America.

 The Ministry of Union Petroleum has setup the Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) Chairman Sanjiv Singh to coordinate with the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in this project.

 OPEC was formed in 1960 and its headquarters is in Vienna, Austria. The member of this organization is Algeria, Angola, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.

 

11. US Announced Eligibility of India for Generalized System of Preferences(GSP)

 

The United States Trade Representative (USTR) has announced that they would review the eligib
