Deptt of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance seeks applications regarding the posts of Chairman, Board for Industrial (BIFR) and Financial Reconstruction and Member, Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR). The Ministry looks after the financial matters of the country like budget, taxation, financial institution, financial legalization etc. and is among the most prominent ministries of the government. It consists of 5 departments, namely Department of Economic Affairs, Department of Expenditure, Department of Revenue, Department of Financial Services and Department of Disinvestments.

(i) Chairman [Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction]

(ii) Member [Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction]

Eligibility and Pay Scale 

Age : Not more than 65 years

Educational Qualification Required : 

• The applicant should be or should be qualified enough to be a Judge in High Court
•  A minimum of 15 years of experience is mandatory in the field of either science, technology, economics, banking industry, law, labour matters, industrial finance, industrial management, industrial reconstruction, administration, investment, accountancy or any other which could be deemed as useful by the organization

Pay Scale : 

(i) For the post of Chairman [BIRF] will be equal to that of a Judge in High Court

(ii) For the post of Member [BIRF] will be equal to that of Secretary to the Government of India

Selection Procedure

The applicants would be selected on the basis of a Written Examination or Personal Interview conducted by the organization
