Health Risk Assessment

Living in the post industrial age brings people both pros and cons. Due to the high level of technology development a random person sits and rests more, and the Physical Activity becomes more of an exercise than a daily routine. By virtue of progress the humanity has found itself in a much polluted environment where air, water and soil serve not as a fertile habitat, but as a dangerous enemy. As people had learned how to manufacture the food, the great deal of speculation appeared in this sector. A modern person has to know everything about nutrition, physical activity, family history of diseases, pernicious habits, environmental factors that influence health, and what can cause health risk by avoiding following some specific rules.

Two key points that can seriously damage a Health Condition are lack of the physical activity and unhealthy diet. They are the main health risk factors that can lead to overweight and even obesity, which in its own turn can result in diabetes, various heart conditions, and infertility. Recent research shows very high rates of obesity in the majority of developed countries where the USA holds the second place. However, speaking of physical activity it is crucial to know the rules and one’s own physical condition before starting exercising. A simple walking and some moderate physical activity have to prevail over heavy exercises as it can rather damage than benefit one’s health. As it was mentioned above, technologies have replaced a normal daily physical routine, cars substitute walking, TV and computers are responsible for the entertainment. The duration of physical exercises can start from thirty minutes per day to one hour depending on a personal health condition. Some unnecessary driving time can be easily replaced by walking and passive TV entertainment one can substitute by an active game. The second health risk factor is unhealthy foods and eating habits. It is very important to avoid any kind of meal containing sugar, salt, fat, artificial supplements and other harmful ingredients. Bad eating habits like eating out or using junk food can easily add extra weight and worsen health condition. The same applies to alcohol that contains a big amount of calories and influences problems with digestion of the food.  Instead of these meals one has to eat vegetables, fruits, lean meat, fish, low-fat dairy and healthy cereals. One of the most important habits is to eat four or five times a day but use small portions.
