Music Video Day! ("Why Does The Sun Shine?" by "They Might Be Giants")

In 2009 the band released a children’s CD geared toward helping younger kids understand Science better. The goal is lofty, and lends itself to quite a few difficulties, but from the standpoint of a fellow musician, I feel they accomplished this task with aplomb. I have personally listened to almost everything off the Album and I have but what thing to say about it.
Even I learned something.
From their catchy tunes about the color spectrum of Rainbows (Roy G. Biv) to catchy (and often ridiculous and humorous) jingles like “Meet the Elements” and “The Ballad of Davey Crockett (In Outer Space)” they Cover everything in the realm well, with toe-tapping melodies to get your kids singing along.

While Davey didn’t take a trip to outer space that song is just intended to be fun. The others on the album like the topic of this blog, are aimed at teaching kids. Don’t believe me? Check out the video below for “Why Does the Sun Shine? (The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas)” and thanks for reading!
