- Iran President Hassan Rouhani is on a 2-day visit to Pakistan.
- During the visit, Mr Rouhani is expected to discuss a pipeline project for transporting Iranian natural gas to Pakistan.
- Sri Lanka's much-awaited Right to Information (RTI) Bill was tabled in Parliament today fulfilling an election promise of the Sirisena government.
- The Bill provides for the establishment of a Right to Information Commission and the appointment of information officers among other things to uphold the people’s right to know.
